What fabric would any of you recommend for tennis clothes. I play alot of tennis and want to make my own outfits because I don’t like what’s available. I really like the type of material that wicks away moisture. Then…where do I get the fabric you recommend?

You might look into some of the new fibers such as bamboo and one I just happened to read about here http://sewingblog.sawyerbrook.com/barb/ Scroll down to the second entry (Feb. 19). She is talking about Lenpur, a fabric made from white pine. It looks very interesing.
Here she discusses Ingeo which is developed from corn. http://sewingblog.sawyerbrook.com/barb/2009/02/eco-friendly-fibers-1.html  There are several places that sell bamboo.
I haven't ordered any online but had some bamboo from Hancock's some time back and really like it. Bamboo and Lenpur are supposed to be antibacterial.

Thanks for your reply.....At this point I'm still doing research..but will keep you in mind. I want to design them myself since I don't like any clothing that is sold currently. So I'm learning about slopers and dress forms, etc, however, I did find a pattern from Paragon for tennis wear that looks promising. Thanks so much.

I have the same question as above - cannot find anything in tennis wear and would like to start making my own - Interested in knowing about sources to buy fabric for tennis clothes - do like material that wicks away moisture. would like to know where to purchase - also anything that has some design to it as well - and pastel colors in addition to white
