I know that we discussed fabric shopping in Montreal recently....do a search and see if you can find anything. Otherwise, I'd be happy to pull out my notebook and see what I can give you. I lived in Montreal for five years before moving to Alberta in 2001.
If you are into cheese, then you'll love Montreal. I've never seen such a wonderful selection of cheese anywhere. One place you shouldn't miss is the cheese shop at Atwater Market. I'm sure there is an excellent one at the Jean Talon Market as well. The bakeries are incredible....as is the food in general. Montrealers know how to eat well!

Found it. I should have tried that first! I never thought to search the discussion threads.
Looks like Hubert st. is the place to go! Easy to remember since that was my grandfather's name!
