    Hello,
I am brand new here, but am an avid sewer.
I've made many roller shades of fabric.
It is best to cover an (old) table or large work surface with some padding,ie. a cotton blanket to have a good pressing surface.
Layer face fabric, stitch witchery (can this still be found by the yard in wide widths? If not,you can use wonder under, but you'll have an added step of tearing away the waste paper) , and lining fabric. Using pressure and steam, press using an up and down motion all over your three layers. Next, cut to width needed using a rotary cutter and mat. Turn up hem and add any pulls or hardware you want to bottom of shade, then
attach to roller using packing tape, staples,or a strong glue, making certain to place fabric evenly on roller.
