Hi Shelly Don’t forget to look in Harrod’s for fabric. They sell fabric by the yard. Most of it is very “hi-end” but it is something to admire. I was so bold as to ask if they had remnants. I felt a little foolish but the lovely lady showed me some great pieces to use for my (someday) crazy quilt. Have a wonderful trip. Janet

What a great idea...........thanks for the tip!
Sometimes a small remnant used as a detail ( eg. collar and cuffs) can just add that extra 'pezzaz' a simple outfit.
Regards,
Shelly
Do Harrods STILL sell fabrics? I thought they gave up a long time ago, but maybe, just maybe they have started again.
They sold wonderful stuff way back, then they seemed to stock exactly the same fabric as Liberty's, then there was nothing.
Although I don't live that far away Harrods is not a shop I visit often. I don't like the ambiance.
Cheers,
Ghillie
Hi Ghillie--I was there about 3yrs ago so they may have made changes since then. Your are right --there was a lot of "Liberty" fabric. Also a lot of lace but not too much fashion fabric. We were visiting London for the first time in a long time so I was just being a tourist. Fabric stores are disappearing so fast. I was happy to see any at all. Take care, Janet
