In Atlanta, we have Joanne fabrics and Hancock Fabrics. If you're staying in the Buckhead area, there is a Hancocks. Also, there are a few "odd" fabric stores in the area: Discount Fabric and lewis & Sharon Textiles, Forsyth Fabrics. Look in the phone book under fabrics and please call for hours. Strings and Strands is a yarn store. We also have the Calico fabric chain stores.
*Hellenne and Marilyn,A shop called Gail K Fabrics is not to be missed! It's near the corner of Cheshire Bridge Road and LaVista Road in Atlanta (close to a landmark theatre called the Tara). Check the phone book when here. Great prices on super fine wools, silks, bridal laces, and junk too.Susan
