Fabulous Fit Dress Forms – Final Review

AeliciaJ56847 | Posted in Fitting on

I tried the dress form system by fabulous fit dress forms as I already mentioned in my other post, and I am about to buy a dress form from them. I am thinking the full body would be best for me, but I would like to know if someone else tried it. This is the dress form link http://fabulousfit.com/dressforms.html

My experience with Fabulous Fit Dress Forms

    Hi Aelicia,

I wanted to reply to your post earlier, but I purchased my fabulous fit dress form just a week ago. I would have loved to buy the full body version like yours but my budget did not allow me. Instead I bought the half leg 3/4 style, and I had the time to use it, that's why I am posting now. I made a pair of pants for my daughter and tested the dress form for pinning, stability, and the fitting system. Pinning is very easy and you can actually pin straight into it without turning the pin to an angle to do it, which is something I have never seen on other dress forms. The form is on wheels which is very handy, and the stability is very good as well, not wobbly at all, and the fact that it came with two arms really did it for me. I've have never seen bendable arms on any dress form, did you? I actually don't think most dress forms come with arms...Anyway, I did quite a bit of draping and padded my dress form up to match my body with the fitting system and I am amazed about how identical the form looks to my body. I just love the system, and. I am thrilled that you shared Fabulous Fit dress forms with all of us. Thank you for your great review!

    Dress Form Reviews

I had a wonderful; experience with this company. I managed to attend to the workshop where the Fabulous Fit was hosting in New York. It was a busy even, but I got a lot of fitting information out of it. Working with the sewing pros really makes a difference. We all went up on stage and worked with the fabulous fit dress forms. I bought a pro series dress form for misses in a size 4 and padded up to match my measurements which were a size 8 at the time. I wanted to buy the size 4 because I wanted to lose weight. My dress form is great, and it just mimics my silhouette to perfection.

Since I don’t do pants, I really didn’t need a full body dress form but I wanted a good form with collapsible shoulders and two arms for my jackets. By the way, I heard that fabulous fit was about to start online workshops and maybe also in their studio in New York. Does anybody know anything about that?

    Fabulous Fit Dress Forms Workshops

I called them to find out. They said they will be starting offering Fabulous Fit classes and workshops on fitting, sewing, dress forms, draping,, how to start a business, work from home, online live workshops, on location workshops all by the end of the month. I hope they really do. I would love to learn from these guys. If I could learn how to set up my own sewing business that would be great, and I can use the extra money. I checked their site and there is no announcement yet, so I guess I will be checking again soon.
