Fall “Sew Stylish” Issue – Great!
Since I couldn’t find a place at the Sew Stylish website to post this, I might as well do it here…
I love the Fall 2009 issue of Sew Stylish. Picked it up today, and have a lot of pages dog-eared for closer review! I love learning how to redesign patterns, and that’s one area of Sew Stylish that I absolute love, in every issue. I’ve been wanting a skirt just like the one on p. 51, and now I know exactly how to do it without purchasing a pattern!
Keep up the great work!!!

Ever since I perchance came across Sew Stylish 2 years ago, I have been floored about what I learn. It is different from Threads in that it teaches you so much more about pattern manipulation, like being an actual designer. For example, they show you how easy it is to copy runway styles from basic patterns, which I am thrilled you also include as a base in each issue. If management reads this, I would love to have one every season and would sign up in an instant to subscribe if you offered it.
I love the versatility the magazine offers. Nothing is ever about following the rules. The slant is always on how to personalize something you see in the store or on the runway.
Must admit though, I don't care for the sculptured sleeves on that red dress. Reminds me of wearing one of those milkmaid's yokes, but that aside, there are lots of other very cool garments and articles about how to make them.
