FASHION SHOWS

MaryinColorado | Posted in Feedback on Threads on

I would like to suggest an article on the Bernina Fashion Show.  You could even do a series of sorts on the contestants/designers.   Who they are, thier sewing background/history.  Interesting tid bits.  Design.  Construction.  How they progressed.  Thier everyday sewing or industy work………

Any other fashion shows would be interesting also.  .Mary

Wasn't Kayla Kennington, who has published articles in Threads a Bernina Fashion Show winner?  And a long time ago there was an article by Rosemary Eichorn, who was also in that show (or its predecessor).

Still, it might be an interesting place to look once again for inspiration and/or new designers.

The web is a great place to find inspiration.  You can find many designer webpages through the following link:

    Enjoy!

Thank You for the website, it is interesting. I discovered Kayla in Threads Magazine, and kept all the issues she is in.  I found out about the Bernina Fashion show because I had bought one of Kayla Kennington's patterns, went to her website, became a fan.

I have several of Kayla Kennington's patterns which are fun to work with.  The latest is a jacket that I haven't even cut out yet, very feminine looking.  I love her work.  It is very inspiring.  I hope to go to one of her retreats one day, almost made it this year but  life created  some detours...so it wasn't meant to be...........yet.........Mary

Hi Marijke,  I love to sew athough finding the time is difficult, anyway.. I went and looked at the Atelier site and I couldn't find Kennington. Do you know the name of her studio or business?  Have to go, I hear the baby into something, thanks, jane

You can find Kayla Kennington's work at

        Enjoy!

I, too, have little time to sew.   Wished I could spend more time on it.  Always enjoy seeing creative clothing!
