I have been writing begging/grovelling emails to all the internet sources for corduroy that google lists in the hope of getting hold of plum/aubergine/purple/berry-coloured pinwale corduroy, but without a lot of success. Ginny’s fabrics had the nearest to what I want but it is a tucked corduroy. If anyone has a stash/supply source please let me know.

Check Denver Fabrics (http://www.denverfabrics.com) or Handmades (http://www.handmades.com) -- Handmades had several different purple shades of pinwale.

are you looking for a solid color or verigated? I saw some verigated pinwale corduroy at hancocks today (in Houston, TX) it was very pretty, pale plum/grey/teal sort of I didn't really scrutinize it, but I could go back get a swatch and scan/email it to you if you want

Thanks, Judy, I shall go to their website and check it out. As it happens this search was for my daughter and when I showed her the swatches I have received to date she absolutely loved Ginny's pintucked plum.
Thanks again.
