“Fine Wools Direct” in Sydney Australia
Hi,
I went into Fine Wools Direct at Camperdown today.
My first time in-store and they are closing very soon ( re-opening in July at a new location). Everything was half price. Not much left. But I was happy with the fabrics I did find.

Previously they didn’t send mail order catalogues to Sydney residents, they are going to now.
The website is still running. I do not know if they send stock internationally. Ring and ask.
Store is owned and operated by a lovely middle-aged married couple. Personal service, they love their shop and fabrics. It was a pleasant morning out for me!

It is good to know that they are not closing pernanently. I had a notice from them last week about their sale and I thought it meant that they were going out of business. Good news!

There is still a demand for high quality fabrics in Sydney, which is why they are re-opening. Due to family issues, daughter moving intersate, and the feeling they are getting too old to run the business, they will remain open with shorter hours, less days. Mail orders will continue. I was advised not to rely on the OnlineShop, turnover is great, and updating the website is a little difficult to keep up with. I was advised to always ring first.
I did place my name on the list to be notified of any change. I will let you know if I hear of any further news.
They will be 'out of business' for a couple of weeks, while they set up the new store.
