I am learning Joyce Murphy “Adjusting Pants from Waist to Seat. I measured my crotch with the special flexible ruler, traced it to my pant muslin and it fits but having one problem.
I am having difficult time with the two crotch points touching. If they both touch at each end point, everything else is out of alignment. How did she do it? I have followed the instructions and the pictures but they don’t give a hint. Does anyone know the solution?

Fitting yourself is very difficult. You really need someone to help you.
Any help is appreciated. Amapola

You need to match the stitching line, not the points. This can be tricky. What I do is chalk in the seam lines on both sides of the points. Match where they intersect to where they intersect on the other leg. Then sew on the chalked line. Hope this helps. solo
Thank you, I understand what you are saying. Will try it out. I have learning how to fit pants for a year. I have tried different methods and this seems to work for me in combination with Pants for Everybody.
On the way to learing, I found that many people will shun the subject change it immediately. It's a pity because once you get the hang of it it's workable.
Thank you for your help. Amapola
