Fleece OK for batting?

Catfriend | Posted in Quilting and Home Decor on

Hello all!

I am a new quilter and I was wondering if fleece fabric would work as batting in a bed quilt.  If not, what are some of the favorite battings out there?

Thanks!

I use fleece as the batting and backing of a t-shirt quilt. I used only one layer to serve as both and it worked very well - not too heavy.
