I love your magazine. I keep old issues and reread them often. I also look through my “achives” when I become intrested in something new. I always find something informative and appropriate.
I particularly like Closures and In Detail. I flip to these first thing. Strangley, I also like reading the advertisments. Many times I am able to find new sources for items I can’t find locally. Have you thought about have a section devoted to online shopping and/or information?
I was, however, a bit dissappointed in the review of top of the line sewing/embroidery machines in the most recent issue. I would have enjoyed seeing a checklist comparison of features. As it was they all sounded pretty much the same and I know from experience that is not true.
Thanks for a wonderful magazine.

I was troubled by the SM/EM reviews in the current issue. It was like reading Oprah --all about values and what really matters in life and then she shows shoes to buy for $800!!

How many of us really have $5000 to spend on a machine no matter how wonderful the features?? I don't think that's your readership -- perhaps I'm wrong.

Rather, I think most of us have to make tough choices abt which features are a "must" and which we can live without to keep costs down. Seems that machine reviews have listed all the great stuff, but not the problems. Is that because the reviewer doesn't get to use the machine for very long? Or, as in the case of the current reviews, she depended on the reps. Well, they're not going to discuss problems or lacks in their machines.

I don't know how you address this given limited time w the machine.

PatternReview.com has some good machine reviews. Machine flaws are just as important to those readers looking to buy as the bells and whistles!!

Thanks for letting me sound off,

    Nancy
