General sewing info

Hallo All,

I am making curtains and have been shortsupplied by the store on the heading tape. It is only a small amount and have bought another half metre. I want to join it – is there a special way of doing this – I have been led to believe there is. Thanks in advance.  Busybee

I would probably use something like organza to attach to the back of one end. Use zig-zag stitches for strength.

Then bring the other piece, sit it alongside the one you have just done and zig-zag that into place.

    Trim excess organza.

If you don't like organza you could use soluble fabric like Sulky which washes off
