All my hand sewing needles are pretty much from my former sewing life and I don’t have any very good ones left now. Are there any favorite/top brands of needles these days?

If you like the standard small-eyed sewing needle, Professional Sewing in Seattle has some *very* nice needles in an assortment with a needle
threader. Probably the nicest I've used. I'm still working with some
I got at the Puyallup Sew Expo several years ago -- haven't managed
to bend or break them, like I often do with crummy needles.
I suspect they're from Japan, as most of her supplies are. All that
I've gotten from her have been very high quality. No website, but
here's the information:
Professional Sewing Supplies, Booth #106
PO Box 14272, Seattle, WA, 98114-4272
206-324-8823

I don't know have a name or number of the particular product I got, but I think if you just ask about the assortment with the threader,
she'll know what I'm talking about. Excellent source of really nice
notions like real basting cotton and silk, chakoners, fusible tailoring tapes, thimbles, and many other things.
Those sound like needles I can enjoy. I shall get some. Thanks!
I second Kay's recommendation of these needles. I bought the assortment, too; it comes in a little vinyl fold-over envelope, and they really make hand-sewing a pleasure.
