Where is the tear and what is the shape?? There are some sticky and iron-on patches for goretex, BUT you have to be real careful with the amount of heat on this fabric. I use a teflon press cloth to protect it. I have repaired pants that have just had a straight tear by opening the lining on the inside and ironing on gortex seam sealing tape over the cut and it has held the fabric together. With the cost of this clothing and fabric you unfortunately have to spend lots of time in the repair to make it look good. Or throw everything to the wind and slap on a piece of duct tape (Just kidding, even though I see lots of borders with those kind of patches)
