You could try http://www.hamiltonbook.com. I recall a millinary book in their listings. I don't think they ship to Canada, but you may know someone in the States who could help. Check your local library. There are some good books out now about sewing bridal wear. You could also check with your local junior college or high school evening school about courses they offer for adults.
*There is a book called "I Do Veils", that i believe was reviewd by Threads a couple of years ago. Sorry i don't know the author's name. Additionally Virginia Avery write a pretty good book about hats and neckpieces, the title eludes me. Lacis Press has a re print of a book put out in the early 1920's that explains about as much as anyone needs to know about hats. It is called Millenery for every Woman by Gorgina Kerr Kaye. For supplies i would get in touch with Manny's Millenery on 38th Street in New york. They have a catalogue. The folks who work there are wonderful, nice and funny. The catalog is the same.
