I am supposed to be making a costume for Halloween. But…I have to draft the pattern myself. (This will be my FIRST time.) I want to use princess seams but I’m not sure how to make this into a pattern. HELP!!!

*What kind of costume?
*For you, or someone else?
*For Trick or Treating, or a party? (that matters because you can fake a whole lot more if it's going to be worn outside only once, than if you want it to look "really spiffy" for an important party, IMHO)
*Do you have anything to start from? ~ Another dress, a somewhat different pattern, anything
*What's your sewing experience level? Is this your "first dress", or just your first stab at draping your own pattern?
I'm on my way out the door, but anybody here will be able to use this information to focus their advice ...
