recently purchased an embroidery machine and found soooo much on the market. What are the best threads to use, are there web sites to get the stabilizers at a discount, are there any good sites for info/ideas on sewing on clothing. I went onto the Janome(my machine) site and have found good info there, but am sure there are lots of places to look.
any suggestions
Loved the “stitchitize” site – lost of great stuff.

Karen believe it or not there is a ton of info out there just for the looking. Try going to the Creative Machine Embroidery website for lots of inspiration. Also there is also the Embroidery Library site that gives lots of general information about embroidery plus sells lots of designs. Also if you have some general questions and need some quick answers you can email me at [email protected] and I will be happy to help you out. I have my own embroidery/sewing business.
Thanks Terry for those sites. Will look at them right away. I was told that although there are a lot of sites for designs, some are not rated well. Too bad there aren't ratings for web sites. Your ok on these sites is just what I am looking for.
Thanks.
Karen the websites that I gave you are on line shorter versions of the magazines that are on the newstands. These will give some technical advise but as all things sewn what works for one situation may not work for another. If you are looking for websites for free designs then look at annthegran.com there are a ton of free designs there but they are all contributed by various digitizers with varying degrees of proficiency and there I must caution you to beware. Always test those designs first and be cautious. Also on her website there are a ton of links to other sites that will have you ga-ga in no time. Some will have free designs and some like Cactus Punch have designs to sell. I will say that Cactus Punch is the best in the business as far as digitizing and designs that they sell. If you have any other particular questions again let me know or post I usually try to answer as many regarding embroidery as I can but sometimes I get stumped.
