Can anyone help me find the fabric that these curtains are made from?  I moved into a lake house and would like to decorate my bedroom like this picture

This looks like gingham, in that context it is probably cotton. If you got this photo from a magazine, often in the back is a list of suppliers for items shown. If a designer's name was mentioned maybe an enquiry to the magazine would bring an answer.

Since I love blue and white I just love that room!  It is too hard for me to see the fabric, but I would look at a place like Calico Corners.  We have another huge decorator fabric store in our area as well.  If you look in the phone book you almost see endless decorator fabric places as opposed to garment fabric.  I you live in a rural area you could google http://www.calicocorners.com/ and I'm sure others would show up to look at too.

Actually, I've seen that fabric, or fabric similar to it, locally.  It's usually taffeta.  The decorating-weight taffeta is heavier and stiffer than apparel-weight taffeta.

The fabric pattern is also sometimes called a buffalo check....whether cotton broadcloth or taffeta.
