I have recently purchases a viking “Lily’ sewing-embroidery machine. Can anyone give me some information on cards other than viling that are compatable with this machine. Also being new to the computer I would appreciate anyone who has any information on the boxes that can be used on my machine so I can purchase designs on the computer. My machine has no built in stitches and i would like to have a variety of cards to choose from. I thank you in advance for any help or advice you can give me.

I have the Viking Rose and Designer 1. With my Rose I have a blank card that I can use to load designs from my computer using the customizing software that Viking puts out. I think the Lilly uses a similar card so that is all that you would need and it only cost $200-$300 but if you consider the amount of free designs out there that are on the internet you can recoup your expense in a short while. But just remember that you are going to see lots of larger designs out there that will not fit your hoop. Also unless you get the conversion kit as well you will have to be aware of what format you will need for your designs when downloading them. Good luck.
The Lily is not an embroidery machine. It has some built in pictograms and decorative stitches, but does not use a card for embroidery. Maybe you have one of the new Platinum series? I'm not sure how they work, but you could ask your Viking dealer.
