Look at SewNet . Although I haven't tried it, I saw where they sometimes have online classes.

*This is not a home study course, but you could use it for this purpose. There is a textbook called "Pattermaking for Fashion Design" by Helen Joseph-Armstrong which goes for around $68.00 on the net or $90.00 retail. It has 821 pages (including index) with lots of great illustrations. The author has included her fax# in the book for questions/comments.I can't review it because I've had it too short a time, but hope to learn patternmaking myself from it.I tried Pattern Master Boutique but wasn't satisfied with it and want to learn to make patterns from the ground up.

*I have used/learned from a book called PatternMaking by the Flat Pattern Method by Norma R. Hollen. It's a textbook developed for college pattern making classes. I have the 4th ed. but there is an 8th ed. out now. I have seen in on Amazon.com (I think).Chris.

*Looking for a child's Sailor Suit Pattern. My son just joined the navy and I think his stepson would like to be a sailor for Halloween. I can't find a pattern--can anyone help? Please email me at [email protected], as I don't get a chance to check forum often. Thanks!Linda
