I’m attempting to sew a blouse in a sequined fabric. After a few stitches, the needle becomes gummed up and the thread breaks. This is my first time using this type of fabrice. What is the proper technique!
Thanks

Dotty,
I don't really know either but have you looked at Sandy Betzina's fabric book (a lot of libraries carry it.) It has information on any kind of fabric you could imagine including correct needle size and sewing techniques.

Thanks. I'll look for that book.
Here's a TV segment showing how to sew a sequined top--but this is fabric with real sequins sewn to it. Is yours one of those, or one with the sparkly dots kind of printed onto it?

This has sparkly dots, about 1/4" in diameter that seem to be glued on.
Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.
