how do you remove steam irom stain from satin material?

my daughter made a costume and while pressing got a water stain on the bodice in the front of garment. does anyone know how to remove the stain safely? washing the garment is out of the ?– i would appreciate any help you can give me. thanks.

    In general, pre-treating your fabric to be able to handle anything it's likely to run into is a good idea. All my fabrics, including silks (but excluding fine wools), get tossed into the washer and the dryer as soon as they get into my house. That way I never have to deal with surprise water spots or shrinkage and so on.
