how to determine blue from black

this sounds ridiculous but i bought some fleece and 2 other customers said it was a very dark blue and i really think its a black and cream print.I’ve held a light to it , brought it outside, etc. Is there a way i’ll know for sure?

Take something (preferably of fabric) that you know to be black, and something that you know to be dark navy. Take everything outside into natural daylight and compare.

*BK, good advice...the only thing I know of that will work. If you can't tell then, it's whichever you want it to be...hehehe.

*Get an Ott-lite and you won't even have to go outside. This light is very close to natural full-spectrum light and color differences show up right away.
