How to get smooth seams on sheer curtain

ggggg | Posted in General Discussion on

I have been sewing sheer drapes for my living room.  Upon hanging, I see that the edges which I have turned in 1 inch twice, are shorter than the length of the fabric.  What am I doing wrong?

Please help with any suggestions on how to cure this problem.  Thank you in advance.

try useing a walking foot .The sheer fabric is slippery and the walking foot deals with this very well . Its really worth getting one for rubberized fabrics and slippery sheers and also satin. Alo press your folds well each time you fold them. As you sew hold the fabric taut before and after the machine foot.
