I would like info on sewing machines

meg54 | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

Hi,

I have been looking for a new sewing machine and I am curious if anyone out there has the Janome MC 4400 and what  do you think of it.  I do NOT want to spend over $700.  I sew for kids and do crafts, want to learn to do quilting.  Embroidering is not on my wish list but would consider.  HELP!!!!! Going crazy with trying to decide and had NO idea there were so many machines out there.  My present machine is a singer and I have loved it but it is time to “update” my sewing skills and do some “fun stuff!”

Thanks for your help!!!!!

    Hey, Meg!

Just noticed your post did not get any answers.  Have you tried the 'Advanced Search' for machine info? Just type in some key word like 'Janome' and see what you get, you can read all the old posts about Janome machines that way.

    Hope this helps,

    Becky

Thanks Becky I did do that and  I actually ordered the Janome MC 3000.  It just came yesturday and I am thrilled with it.  Since I am just getting back to sewing (after putting in on hold for a few years) the Janome will be a great one for me and my projects.  This was a gift from my husband so it is even more appreciated!

      Thanks,

      MEG

    Hi Meg,

On the website patternreview.com they tell about new machines. Good luck.

Thank you Marcy I found this website and yes it was very helpful.  I also ordered a back issue of Threads which gave an informative review on machines.

      Thanks,

      MEG
