Have you tried typing "silk sari" into the search box at ebay? A friend gets gorgeous stuff from a couple of sellers there.
if you are looking for larger amount of fabrics look at alibaba.com
Thanks for all your help. l've started looking at the websites, and l'm a little amazed to find polyester as well as silk - l would have thought that quite a lot of the indian climate would preclude wearing polyester, on comfort grounds alone. But again, thanks.
