Industrial Sewing Machine

mlga730 | Posted in General Discussion on

Could someone recommend an industrial sewing machine that is quite and sews over 1″ thickness.

I made handbags and custom clothing.

Thanks for you input!

mlga, you need to talk with someone who sells industrial sewing machines.  Your question has many answers.  Industrials are different from home machines in that they are specific to the task.  I sew on a industrial that will handle light to medium.  That means it will work on lightweight fabrics up to medium thickness, but that thickness is much more than what you can achieve with a home machine.   I would not want to use my machine as an everyday machine for hangbags, but I have made handbags with it.

For reducing noise, you want a Servo motor.  Any industrial that you might buy can be switched from a clutch motor to a Servo motor.
