I have been making a beautiful flannel wool dress (wrong season, I know) from the sleeveless version of Vogue 7749. I decided to line it because it was so itchy. However, when I sewed the fabric and lining together at the sleeves and neck I inadventently made some sort of mind bending puzzle. I realize that I need to unpick a seam or two but I have already snipped and notched. Good thing I didn’t serge yet!
Is there anything I can do to fix this without re-sewing the whole thing? I’ve done it with vests but can’t remember the formula.
Thank you so much for your help (again)!

the vest patterns I've used left the shoulder seams open but sewed all around the garment and the sleeve opening. After turning it rightside out, you are supposed to connect the shoulders. I don't know if that will work for your dress.
That sounds a lot easier than taking out the clipped armholes. I'll give it a shot! After all, no one will see my miserable handstitching on the shoulder seam lining.Thank you!

Thanks for reminding us that we're not the only ones who stitch ourselves into puzzling corners!
