Instructions for Monkey Paw Knots

koeber | Posted in General Discussion on

I hope someone can help me find a source or provide instruction for making Monkey Paw Knots.  I want to embelish a slim belt for a plain dress, and can’t recall how to get started.  I need to be able to create them along a line of “rope”, so need to judge exactly how much length each will take.  Any suggestions??  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

What an interesting site!  I used to make those knots from satin cording for buttons, but I'd forgotten what they were called.  They look like Celtic knots before they're tightened.  And I found directions to make cording (they called it "rope").  Thanks.
