Instructions for Top Down Center Out are not complete or am I missing something?

pinkpansy | Posted in Fitting on

Threads issue #218 has an article but Ruth Collins on fitting pants. It doesn’t have the complete instructions. The article stops before it explains what adjustments to make when the pattern does not fit in the crotch area.

I am disappointed. Can someone tell me what I am missing?

I had this problem too, but later noticed that at the bottom of the article is a PDF link, which does contain the full instructions. For me the link is right under where it says "Illustrations by Ruth Collins," and above the email signup for Threads.

There's also a YouTube series made by The Crooked Hem, that shows all the steps. It has 9 episodes. I haven't tried it myself yet, but it looks to be very thorough.

That YouTube series has an enormous value. You must see that! It explain everything!
