Interests of new mwmbers

Char9 | Posted in Gather For A Chat on

Hi Everyone.  Just found this thread.  I’ve been here for a week so I think I’m still a new member.  Its interesting to hear what other members like to involve themselves with.  For me its crocheting, sewing (mostly home dec) and woodworking.  I also like volunteering for worthy causes, specially if its local or has anything to do with animals and pets.

    Hi!

I've been reading (lurking) for a while, and have only posted a few times myself.  Everyone here is so talented and creative!  I've been sewing since I was about 6, and enjoy making clothing, purses, home dec, quilts, doll clothes--just about anything.  I also like to crochet when I'm watching TV or on long trips in the car, and have made afghans for family, friends, and Project Linus.  My husband and I both love to cook and try new recipes.  Recently I've become interested in genealogy, and am working on a project for our family reunion later this year.

Hi Vickie!  Although I've never done my family genealogy, the process does fascinate me.  I've thought of tracing my family's roots but decided it was too big a project.  I'm more into instant gratification.  LOL!  I need to see results a bit faster.  Many years ago my grandfather did trace his Hungarian ancestors back to the Mudgar gypsy tribe in Hungary.  But the Irish, German and the rest of the Hungarian I know nothing about.

I LOVE to cook, specially if it includes fresh herbs, most of which I grow myself.  All the different basils, YUM!  And fresh Rosemary!  And all the lemon herbs, lemon verbena, lemon sage, lemon grass, lemon balm.  Oh, my!

I used to make infused vinegars and, of all people, my dentist (!) loved my garlic vinegar on his salads.  Sure glad he never ate it before my visits.

Oops!  That's where I meant to post it but my typo made a new thread.  Oh, well.
