Intro from New Zealand

sbub | Posted in Gather For A Chat on

I thought i better introduce myself to you all. I am Shirley(22) from New Zealand I have a 18 month old daughter who I love sewing for and I also sew for myself. Although Mum taught both myself and my sister to sew on her grandmothers treadal machine I am really sell taught. I did sewing at school for 2 years but it was very basic and borring. Now with being a Stay at home mum I have been getting more into it. I have brought myself a sewing machine and I am always at my local libary looking for the latest Threads magazine. I have learnt so much from it.

Hello, Shirley, and welcome. Glad to hear you're getting your money's worth out of your machine sewing for your daughter. That's what I did this weekend, too--several outfits for my 2-year-old. Quick, easy, inexpensive, and nothing like what the other kids are wearing. How can you beat that?!
