introducing myself

mucci | Posted in General Discussion on

Good Morning to all sewers: hard to find women who sew in the

neighborhood, so I thought I would try this.  Sounds like fun.

I live here in Alton, Il, where the fall is abundant.  I have a grandaugther

in New Zealand, so to keep in touch I sew for her.

Thanks for this site.

Shirley

Many of us here on this Forum have a hard time finding local people with the same interests, but there is an abundance of lovely, talented people here with whom to share ideas. The conversations often wander from sewing. You can learn so many things here and enjoy a cup of coffee with the people you meet.

    Welcome.

Thanks for the reply, I have recently moved from Florida to

Alton Il, and feeling a little melancholy for my family there.  It is

quite beautiful up here.  The north is quite beautiful in the fall.

I don't really miss Florida, really to hot for me.  I would like to find

other sewers in my new neighborhood.   Would be fun to share.

Welcome, new friend!  To add to JunkQueen's comments, we're a really nice group, & we also have lots of laughs (especially when we wander off a topic).  You'll feel right at home here.

Welcome!  You won't have time to be melancholy with this group!  When you're not giggling over the keyboard, you'll be holed up in your studio desperate to capture that idea they sparked!

Enjoy yourself on this site, and soon maybe you can embrace your new home!  We're sure to embrace you!
