irrigation

rjf | Posted in General Discussion on

You kind of answered my unasked question: “Why aren’t there more new messages?”  Everyone must be out gardening and then you confirmed it when you talked about your drip irrigation system.  Well, it really is a beautiful time of year to be outside and most of the prom dresses must be done by now.  I wonder what happens when the daughter gets a last-minute date??            rjf

    Yup... that's it!!!

I've even done some sewing for the garden... and plan to do a bit more.  I have some tulle I will use to keep the birds away from my cherries and a shade to hang on the western part of my porch roof so I sit out there without the sun getting into my eyes.

We bought a RainDrip irrigation kit years ago from Costco and now I am trying to get it set up.  It is laid all over my dining room table.

Though just this week I spent several hours weeding and puting out plants (violas... and planting a huckleberry patch).  I have been watering seeds everyday... and now have nasturtiums, sunflowers, sweet peas and baby pumpkins sprouting in the front yard (hubby doesn't know that I plan to have baby pumpkins running down the front steps!).

Typically I sew more in the fall (for Christmas) and winter (for school auction)... and garden in the spring and summer.  This was also because my upstairs sewing room would get so hot.  But I've been kicked out of there so a child could have his own bedroom... and have been forced to use the dining room table.  We are supposed to be getting an area in the basement set up... but dear hubby is b-e-i-n-g v--e--r--y s---l---o---w about doing his "honey do's"!
