ISO Used Patterns & Heather Claus Site

user-7257885 | Posted in General Discussion on

I’m on a quest to find a resource for “slightly used” or “oops, not what I wanted” patterns.  Primarily ones by independent designers that sell for about $15-$20 new.   (ReVisions, Sewing Workshop, Etc)

Does anyone know of a site, other than e-bay, that might be useful to me?

Also trying to find the website done by Heather Claus.  Just not having any luck googling her name.

Thanks much – Ann

    Isn't Heather Claus, "Pattern Review"

thesewingplace.com carries quite a few independent pattern companies.

there is an article on Sew News website "wire attire" by Heather Claus (december 2002 issue) and they give a website for her. Unfortuantely that website now takes you to a 'links' page.

A quick search led me to http://www.styleupgrade.com run by Heather Claus.

Is this what you were looking for?

I'm confused -- Is Heather now running another website?  I paid for and joined her Sewzine website in January of 2007 and then she had disappeared by February of 2007 and that was the end of any new material on her website or any explanation of what happened or any refund to the members.  Please enlighten me if you can.

I was not aware of Sewzine.

I searched for Heather Claus on sewing.pattenreview.com which is how I found the StyleUpgrade site. The website was reviewed by a patternreview member in 2006. If the site is current I do not know.

Another poke around google.com.au took me to Heather Claus (same one)  http://www.sisisewinglibrary.com/ .

This was seeitsewit website. This has links to lots of articles and lessons. Some of which you may know already. Also this site seems to be the latest, as some comments are at a recent date. I suggest you email her through this website and voice your concerns.

Sorry I cannot be more help. But thank you for broadening my sewing knowledge.
