Janome

geniebug | Posted in Equipment and Supplies on

I have sewn for 40+ years using two older Vikings and a serger.  I have never been happy with the buttonholes made and a few other features that I lack.  I am looking at a Janome 3018 and 3050 primarily because of the buttonhole capability and because I don;t want to spend a lot of money on computerized machines.  I don’t use embroidery features in sewing.  What is the opinion of these two machines.

I know what you mean.  I have a Janome 3022 for sale, brand new.  It will accomodate the "old singers automatic button hole".  I've been sewing for 40 years also and tried making button holes with the new machines........no way.  They never do as good a job.  I stick to my old attachment and life is good.   It takes me 2 minutes to put it together.  I don't have to measure anything.  The templates do it all.

I'm with you.  If you're interested....the Janome 3022 is $300.00 in canadian currency plus shipping.
