Jo-Anns sales flyers

MarshaK | Posted in General Discussion on

Hi, I’m wondering if anyone out there has been having problems with receiving their Jo-Anns sales flyers in a timely fashion. Like a few days before the sale starts instead of after it’s over or not at all? I haven’t gotten one for the past two sales periods, and yes, I did have my address label scanned at the beginning of May. At least I think it was scanned, I had handed it to the cashier, she passed it in front of the scanner, muttered something and set it aside. Contacting Jo-Anns hasn’t brought a reply. MarshaK.

A JoAnn's employee told me that they occasionally do updates of their mailing lists, and if one happened in the three months since you had yours scanned, you may have been dropped. I've seen people with multiple flyers & coupons at our local store; maybe Joann's is updating to prevent that.

Our local letter carrier also said that the USPS has a very long "window" for delivery on bulk-mailed items--as much as 6 weeks in our town--to help them balance staffing and workload for first class items, which have to be delivered promptly.

However, the Joann's mailer is also available online at their website, so you are missing only those wonderful coupons! Sign up again and see what happens.

My main problem may be that I'm in Canada, although in the past most of the sales flyers have come through. I haven't been receiving any catalogs that I used to get as well, I have called the companies and been told that yes, a catalog has been sent out. I do know that in certain cases if the catalog was sent out bulk mail, we here in Canada will not receive them. I do know the Jo-Anns flyer is online, they send me a notification whenever a new one is up, I'm after the coupons. MarshaK.

I had the same problem with not receiving the mailers in time (although it's not my favorite store)  ... so now I get my coupons via email and print them out.

How do you manage to get your coupons online? I've signed up to receive Jo-Anns newsletter or whatever you want to call it, but never once over the past couple of years have I received anything remotely like a coupon. Just the notification that a new sales flyer is online. I have read about these coupons on another sewing forum, but that was a year or so ago. Although I live in Canada, we go down to Great Falls, MT. and points beyond, at least three times a year, our fall trip is coming up in a couple of weeks. I like to use the 40% off coupon on things like rolls of Sulky Ultra Solvy, and books. If you know of any trick I can try to get on the online coupon list, please tell me. It would be greatly appreciated. MarshaK.

        Hi Marsha,

Go to http://www.joann.com   ... on the left towards the bottom click "Sign up for E-mail coupons".

I get quite a few Joann emails ... some with on-line coupons (which might work for you more often - if shipping is not too much)  and then you get about 1-4 store coupons a month.

Hope it works for you.       Zana

Right after I logged out earlier I went to the Jo-Anns website and signed up for every thing they have going! They sent two identical e-mails welcoming me, they also said it would take 4-6 weeks for the first e-mails to be sent out. Oh well, maybe I'm not mean't to do a lot of shopping at Jo-Anns. MarshaK.

Wow! Thanks for this information!  I've used their online flyer, but I've never noticed the option for receiving store coupons via email.  Such a great forum this is!

My flyers have been unpredictable too. I opted instead for the online option. I signed up online and now get way too many coupons by email and I go to their website from time to time to look at the sale flyer for my area. The flyer (PDF?) reader on their site takes a bit of fiddling with to get used to, but it's ok.

    :) Mary
