Lighting

I am opening a sewing school and choosing lighting at the moment. I am thinking of using cloud fixtures with 4 fluorescent tubes in them for overhead lighting. Has anyone compared daylight tubes with full spectrum tubes? I would also like to provide Tot True Color task lights at the worktables. Has anyone found a competitor or cheaper version of comparable quality?

Some thoughts: I wish I'd used track lighting, rather than fixed recessed cans in my sewing area, as they can be redirected or augmented with ease. I actually like the halogen desk light I supplimented the machine area with because it helps keep my arthritic hands warm. It will also burn my head if I'm not attentive. I have an ott light ARTISTS EASEL light over my loom, in the warmer upstairs, and I love it. It is also more adjustable and, to my eye, attractive than the ones advertized in the sewing mags. I got it through Dick Blick art supplies. Which I would highly recommend for all sorts of papers, pencils, rulers, drafting things you didn't even know exsisted.
