In the latest issue of Threads (#135) there is an article about embellished buttonholes. On page 23 is a picture of a metal “buttonhole placement marker”. Does any one know where this could be purchased? I have looked every where I know of, but can’t find it.

I believe http://www.clotilde.com sells them.
The buttonhole gauge is also sold by Nancy's Notions.
I got mine at Jo-Ann's. It's handy for lots of things besides buttonholes.
Hi Tatsy! What else do you use this for?
JT
I've used it to mark pleats, to check if plaids are symmetrical, to space lettering on posters, to space knots and beads in jewelry projects, to check the distance between seedlings in my herb garden (you don't have to put it down on the soil to get a good reading), and I've had to retrieve it from the garage after one of my husband's carpentry projects. I think he was hanging shelves. It's a handy little tool and I like the fact that it folds up so small.
Wow. I may have to get one now! Thank you!
