I know what you mean! I wish I could find someone here in GUELPH, ONTARIO, CANADA, to be my 'sewing buddy' so we could make plaster casts of each other and help each other fit clothes! I can't believe there isn't any sort of "sewing network"...the quiltmakers and knitters seem to have one, but NOTHING for sewers!

Are you close to Louise Cutting?  She is at Winter Park.  http://www.fabriccollections.com/    You might be able to find a sewing buddy through her store.

New Port Richey! My grandpa retired there many years ago, and my parents used to have a home in Hudson, so I know exactly where you are!  I have an aunt who lives there still, but she's not into sewing.   Let me send her a message, and maybe she has lady friends that are into sewing.

Are you interested?  By the way, I love the Hooters Restaurant there, right on the water...  And my kids really enjoyed the Aquarium at Clearwater.  Nice and small, everyone was so friendly.

Sorry that I'm not in your area, but I love your post.  Having a sewing buddy would be great.  If there's anyone in St. Louis (MO), would love to hear from you.  Cynthia
