I’m looking for a source of batik fabric and/or instructions to do it myself. Thanks!

Sue, try the batikbutik.com for the fabrics and dharmatrading.com for the supplies and do it yourself instructions. good luck.
*Great source for batiks @ discount is http://www.bighornquilts.com. I've dealt with this family-owned site for 2 years and they are great. Prices low too. About $6-8 yard versus $10+ elsewhere
*Jo Ann fabrics has shirtings and cottons in batik, also Quilt n Stuff in Alexandria Va. There are also many ethnic quilt shops around the country. Good luck!
*Has anybody tried getting batik rayon from http://www.purrfection.com? From http://www.batikbutik.com? Any comments on the comparative quality? Are there any other good sources on the internet? Thanks, Elizabeth
*I teach batiking at http://www.quiltuniversity.com. You can make your own yardage!!
*I have not bought from either of those sources, but I have bought from fabricdotcom.com; they have a good selection and good prices. Other sources are salsafabrice.com and batiks.com.
*I can make custom batik designs for you but why not learn how to do it yourself? My next class in batik is coming up online 4/13 at http://www.quiltuniversity.com.
