Boiled Wool – the real thing! I have been searching the market since early Fall for a boiled wool source. All of my contacts tell me it cannot be found in the US. Does it exist outside Canada?

I don't know of any source for boiled wool but I do have 2 books that tell how to make your own. Both Claire Shaeffer's Fabric Sewing Guide and Singer Sewing Reference Library's Creative Sewing Ideas tell how to make boiled wool.
If you want, I can e-mail or snail mail you the information. Chris at [email protected]
*Here's the text of an ad in the latest Threads (March 2000):Hand made boiled wool. Worsted and fine merino. Finest quality. Soft supple texture. 50 luscious colors and heathers with matching trim. $5 for fabric swatches to: Karen's Kreations 6542 125th Ave. S.E., Bellvue, WA 98006 (425) 643-9809. Hope that helps!
