I have made some homemade chenille and am now looking for a pattern with raglan/dolmen sleeves. The one that I have is McCalls 8528 which is discontinued. Anyone know where to get a discontinued pattern? Or of a good one the is current?
thank you!

Angeline:
If you don't have any success finding one, just hang on to the pattern you have.
If you find a pattern you like in all other respects, place the sleeve and arm-hole sections of your favorite pattern on top of the new ones, usin just those areas in the new one. Good luck.
*Nancy Zieman has a good dolman sleeve jacket pattern.
*There's an article "The No-Seam Armhole" by Margaret Komives, from Aug 93 Threads, reprinted in the book Fitting Your Figure (I found the book at my local public library). She references Vogue 2892 and 2956, but tells you how to make your own princess-raglan pattern from a princess pattern. Excellent article. Another way to get a pattern is to find an old ready-to-wear garment and copy it. (Highly recommended, you can play with the fit).Yet another way to get a pattern is to take a basic two-piece raglan top pattern (I have McCalls 8050), just extend the sleeve length as a tube and transfer your favorite front jacket closure onto the pattern. It might work a bit better to draw in your shoulder curve and extend the upper shoulder until the arm opening is at 45 degrees.
