Looking for Rayon Blend Velvet

user-120235 | Posted in Fabric and Trim on

Am looking for velvet that is mostly rayon or rayon/acetate for a craft project using the rubber stamp embossing.  I need a selection of subtle colors (not primary colors or jewel tones) and must purchase online.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

I'd love to know where to find those softer colors of rayon velvet too!  Hobby Lobby seemed to have more selection than Joannes or Hancocks.  Try http://www.equilter.com.   Have you considered http://www.dharmatradingcompany.com ?  You could buy white prepared for dying and create the color you need.

Thank you very much, Mary. That's a great idea!

Please let me know if you find the softer colors of rayon velvet!  I'm also interested in dying the PFD velvet maybe next Spring so I can do it outside.  Would love your input if you can share your experiences.

This winter I am playing with Tsukineko Inks and hoping to make a few dolls, a few quilts, and revamping my bedroom and sewing studio.  It's all quite a chaotic flurry in the midst of the Holidays.   Mary
