I am looking for a place to buy wholesale fabric. Someone told me of a wholesale place in Minnesota but I have not been able to find out anything on line or any where else. I would appreciate any information anybody has on this subject. Thanks.

Most places that sell fabric retail will sell wholesale provided you can supply them with the appropriate information. You just need to ask them if they sell wholesale.

Most of the fabric stores in garment district NYC sell wholesale, you just need your resale #.

Thanks Nancy for the information. Do you mean by resale number your Federal Identification Number. We have applied for that but have not got it yet. Thanks. Or is the resale number something you get when you Incorporate or sales tax number from the state. Thanks again.
Your FIN is all you need. Wholesalers WILL ask for you to supply it. Don't be offended, they need it for THEIR records. I just made up a second set of business cards to use w/the trade and had it printed on them. Marlene
I mean your sales tax number. They have to have a copy of it on file so that they don't have to charge you tax.

thanks, I was pretty sure that was what you meant. We are in the process of applying for sales tax number. Of course, if you order on line you don't have any sales tax then. Thanks again.
Rosie, There is a wholesale fabric jobber in Minnesota by the name of Tonka Textiles. You can get more info at http://www.tonkatextiles.com. They carry a large variety of fabrics some they keep in stock, but much of what they have are closeouts and overruns from manufacturers and as a result the inventory is constantly changing.
