Lotus Sleeve – Issue #???

kbalinski | Posted in The Archives on

I know I saw a brief illustrated piece about constructing a lotus sleeve in a back issue.  I’ve gone through half my back issues, and don’t see it.  It’s a short sleeve alteration that creates a petal-like overlap on the top of the arm, and would be perfect for a blouse I’m working on.

Anyone out there that can help? I’ve searched the archives for Lotus Sleeve and nothing came back.

Thanks from Kristine in Michigan

    Nevermind... I found it! Issue 130, p. 73. Q & A "Petal sleeve - draft a lotus".

    Thanks anyway!

Kristine, on one of the posts a while ago, someone posted a Threads search engine: http://www.sewingmuse.org/index.php I am finding that it is easier to search through that than the magazine index. It seems to have broader key words, and more ways of searching. I have it bookmarked. If the index search gives me nothing, this site usually pulls up something fast. It may have been Cherrypops who posted, but I do not remember, Like Rodezzy, my rememberer is busted. CathyPS Your little one is cute, and the blue dress is so smart on her! I didn't have time to read everything, as I had to get back to work in the yard, an actual sunny day today. Hooray! Just came in for a coffee break.

It's a great link to have, and I have it bookmarked too! But, since it wasn't an "article" (it appeared in the Q & A section), muse didn't bring it up.  So, I had to let my fingers do the walking.  It didn't take too long... and wasn't that painful.  Looking through back issues gets the flames stoked, ya know?

Ya, I tend to get lost in the issues, and spend hours re-reading all the articles again. I have Post it Note Flags that I note interesting things on and flag the pages for further reference. My issues sometimes look like porcupines. Cathy

I love your little girl's dress.  What a cutie!  I must look up your reviews on PR.
