   You can order a new tape from the website (Designtofit.com) The product # is #031 - measuring tape (with special scale)$15.00 plus shipping.

   Thanks for the info. I finally got an answer from Lutterloh and they will sell one for 16.98 (includes S &H).  This would be a little cheaper than the place you suggested but will keep their address in case the other doesn't work. That sure sounds expensive for a tape measure, but since you can't buy them at Walmart, guess I will have to bite the bullet and order one.

   I scanned the Lutterloh scale at full size - 8 1/2 X 11 hope you can print it. If not, let me know and I can mail it to you. Just cut it out and clear tape it to a cm measuring tape.

Finally i got the info about this lovely system and i wanted to buy the measuring tape but it is so expensive.
