I do alterations for the public and change threads frequently on many different machines. I’m turning 48 and my eyes are starting to show it. I’m using ‘readers’ but would just love to find magnifying glasses with suction on back (and even magnetic for two of my machines) to attach out of the way on my machines just for threading needles. I want to pivot them out of the way when not in use. Any suggestions? I’ve checked ebay and googled for them but no luck so far.

This may be more than you want, but I absolutely love my lighted magnifying glass on a swing arm that clamps to my worktable. They come in various sizes/prices. This is about 8' across and has a florescent halo shaped bulb. Since I bought it, I use it for absolutely everything! It's great for everything from ripping out delicate stitching putting on nailpolish.
Thanks, I might try that again. I used to use magnifying lamps mounted to my table but with many machines lined up in a row, space is a true premium.
Could you clamp one to a shelf or something above the table, so you could swing it up out of the way when not in use?
Ottlight makes a lighted magnifying glass that you should check out. Also, you may want to investigate the sewing machine manufacturers' accessory lists - I know that Bernina makes a small magnifying glass that attaches to the front of their machines. I'll bet they aren't alone.
